Hola padres! Wanted to let you know that this would be my last post for the year! I can't believe that next week is the last week of school! I have so enjoyed your children. I really love the fact that I get to know them in two different capacities, both inside the classroom and out. I hope they have enjoyed this year as much as I have. I am excited to continue next year with the kindergarteners in first grade, but will of course miss the first graders as they move up to second grade. Hopefully, they won't forget me. =)
So this week has been a mix of things old and new. In Spanish, we covered a bit of the alphabet and reviewed our colors and numbers one through ten. Next week, I plan on reviewing what we have learned about the different Spanish speaking countries with a fun trivia game.
In PE, I have changed things up as well as the weather has heated up. We played various tag games and when the heat really kicked in, I had the scholars sit in the shade and play around the world with our Spanish vocab in order to just give them a bit of a break. Its always nice to review and they always have a good time.
Thank you again for sharing your children with me. I enjoy them so much. Thank you also to all of you who contributed last week to the various activities for teacher appreciation. We so enjoyed the flowers, cards, gifts and food. Thank you, thank you! Have a wonderful summer break!
Sra. Hamilton
